A 24-Shop Barbershop Brand, Running on Software It Owns
Miami's best-known barbershop brand had its website, booking, loyalty, payroll and reports spread across rented tools. We rebuilt the website on their own domain and gave the 24 shops one system they own: client app, barber app, register, memberships, payroll and owner reports.
What we built

10 things we built, on one system.

Client app
Book any shop, pay ahead, check in from the car, keep a card on file, send gift cards and rate the barber.

Shop finder with a live map
All 24 shops on one map, sorted by distance, with who is cutting today and whether the door is open right now.

A real page for every shop
Each shop has its own photos, Google rating, hours, manager and booking button, so it can rank on its own street.

Online booking
Pick a shop, a barber and a time in a few taps, on the same system the front desk uses.

Memberships
Monthly plans with member prices, a free add-on every visit and a birthday perk, billed in the app.

Good Points loyalty
Points for every dollar, app bookings, ratings and referrals, redeemed right at the register.

Barber portal
Each barber's calendar, a live alert when their client arrives, commissions and goals, and face clock-in, on their phone.

Register and owner reports
Checkout, cash drawers, payroll with tip rules and 16 owner reports across all 24 shops.

In-shop TV ad network
Local businesses can buy airtime on the screens in every shop, with a sign-up form for advertisers.

Barber recruiting
A careers page built to win barbers, with real earnings information and an online application.
The challenge
The Spot has been cutting hair in Miami since 2001 and now runs 24 shops from Boca to the Keys. The brand was strong, but the software behind it was rented: the booking app carried another company's setup, reports came from one place, payroll from another, and every new shop meant more monthly fees. The owners wanted their own platform, with their name on it, that could grow with the brand.
What we did
- Rebuilt thespotbarbershop.com on their own domain with a page for every shop, real shop photos, a live 'open now' finder and online booking, and kept every old address working.
- Built the client app with booking, Good Points loyalty and memberships, and a phone app for barbers with their calendar, live alerts, commissions and face clock-in.
- Built the register and owner dashboard: 16 reports, payroll with tiers and tip rules, memberships, gift cards and cash drawers, across all 24 shops.
- Moved more than 100,000 client profiles over without creating duplicates, using the client's mobile number as the anchor.
- Made the brand easy for AI assistants to read (structured data, llms.txt, crawler access) and measured it with 40 real customer questions in English and Spanish.
- Added the extras the team asked for: a visitor check-in iPad for the corporate office, an events tab, and weekly meeting reports.
The outcome
The new website is live on thespotbarbershop.com and every shop is set up on the platform with its history. When we asked AI assistants 40 real Miami barbershop questions, The Spot was recommended in 36 and was the first pick in 21. The platform is now offered to other shops as Papos, with The Spot as its first client.
